Facelifts can reverse the effects gravity has on the face, and make you look younger and fresher. As we age, we all experience the effects of gravity and age-related changes. Stress, wear and tear and lifestyle factors also contribute to the unwanted changes we see in our faces, such as deep creases, lines, wrinkles, folds and fat deposits. Men and women in their forties and older commonly decide to “turn back the clock” by having a facelift.
A Facelift involves removing excess fat and skin from the face, tightening relaxed muscles, and re-draping the skin over the face and neck. A Facelift can be done on its own or along with other facial procedures such as a Browlift, Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty), or Nose Reshaping (Rhinoplasty) for a full facial rejuvenation. The results give you a more youthful appearance, with smoother, tighter skin, while removing the unwanted lines, wrinkles and folds!
Candidates for a Facelift
If you are dissatisfied with the visible signs of aging in your face and neck then you are a candidate for a Facelift. Facelifts can make you look younger by correcting signs of aging such as deep creases around the mouth or eyelids, loose skin or excess fat creating a double chin, loss of muscle causing jowls, or sagging cheeks.
About the Procedure
Your Facelift will be performed by making small incisions hidden behind the ears and then lifting and tightening the deeper layers of the face by manipulating the skin. Any excess skin is either excised (removed) or re-positioned.
