Preoperative required
1. Avoid menstruation;
2. Comprehensive physical examination, no serious medical diseases and local infections.
3. Stop taking contraceptive, estrogen, aspirin and other drugs a month before breast augmentation surgery.
4. Communicate with the doctor to understand the requirements, effects, etc.
5. Select formal institutions.
6. Apply general anesthesia or compound anesthesia; no food and water 6 hours before operation.
Postoperative care
Day 1-Day3 Severe swelling period
Recovery tips: There will be breast swelling, mild bruising, unbearable pain; wear epidural analgesic tube; prosthetic gravity results in self-sensing suffocation.
Nursing methods:
1. Place drainage to observe the amount, color, nature and recovery of bleeding.
2. Assist to adjust position, relieve pain; for chest tightness, can be half sitting; take intravenous drip of antibiotics for 3-5 days and hemostatic agents for 2-3 days.
3. Check the position of the wound and breast prosthesis.
4. No alcohol and tobacco and spicy irritant food.
Day4-Day6 Rapid detumescence period
Recovery tips: Swelling pain of chest alleviates and bruise of the skin absorbs and thins.
Nursing methods:
Observe the drainage and remove when it is less than 30-40ml. Those with subaxillary incision pain, are assisted to adjust to the knuckles type, and encouraged out of bed activity.
Day7 Remove the stitches
Recovery tips: remove stitches in the hospital in the 7th day (according to the doctor's advice due to different surgical methods).
Nursing methods:
1. Keep the wound clean to prevent infection.
2. No water on the wound within 24 hours after removal of thread;
3. Do not rub the wound, but smear scar ointment to desalinate scar;
4. Pay attention to have light diet, but no fasting spicy and irritant food.
5. Wear tights and a stereotyped bra after the removal of stitches. General bras are prohibited to prevent the deformation of the prosthesis.
Day8-Day15 Duration of swelling reduction
Recovery tips: Detumescence is rapid; change is bigger; bruise disappears basically.
Nursing methods:
1. Should avoid sexual behavior within two weeks, so as not to impact the breast;
2. Some surgical methods require chest massage, which begins at this stage, the initial two relatively painful.
3. For severe bruising or breast hardening, the patient should return to the hospital for further diagnosis in time.
Day16-Day30 Tissue recovery period
Recovery tips: Swelling gradually absorbed, the form of basically fixed, significant effect, patient waiting for recovery.
Nursing method: Continue to massage, wear body shaping clothes, can return to normal activities.
Day31-Day90 Stable effect period
Recovery tips: the effect is stable, the prosthesis becomes soft and the scar is thinned.
Nursing methods:
1. No bra or strapless for 3 months;
2. One month after surgery, chest expansion, arm lift, deep breathing and other chest activities should be maintained for more than half a year.
